Mandarin Chinese Class

Class begins November 7 and will meet 3-4:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays..
Cost is $12 per class, $96 per month. Each additional student is $6 per class and $48 per month.

"This program fits perfectly with our mission which is to educate minds and shape hearts for service to God in His world. This allows our students to see God’s world from a different perspective and to learn about others. Language is a proven way to engage the minds of children. It also connects them to different cultures in a very dynamic way. This is even more important as China has become a major force in our world’s economy. Grand Haven Christian School’s world language program already includes Small Talk, a Spanish Immersion program for infants-5 yr old students, and middle school Spanish. We plan to add kindergarten through fifth grade Spanish this winter. Mandarin Chinese is a welcome addition to this rich program.

The Mandarin Chinese class will be taught by Lillian Lee, Instructor of Language at Muskegon Community College. Ms. Lee has an MBA in International Business. “I am very excited to be a part of this program”, says Lee, “The classes will be for elementary school and middle school students with no previous Chinese Language learning proficiency. The focus will be on a fun learning experience for students who are open minded to both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.”
