Home Bulletin

Then Peter got down out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.
 -Matthew 14:29b-31

I wonder if Peter could swim.  How can a grown man who made his life fishing on this very inland sea be afraid of water?  But it wasn’t the water that scared him; it was the wind. The unknown, invisible wind caught his attention and gripped his heart.  Just like us, Peter was afraid of the unknown.

There are many new families that have joined us this year. This school to them is unknown.  It is up to us to reach out, like Jesus, and take them by the hand.  Are you reaching?

Rick Geertsma, Principal
